I came across a sign on the way to the grocery store today, it was decorating the side of a city bus that read; ” Stressed? Do your thing, whatever that may be.” I took three things into consideration: 1) Am I stressed? Yes. 2) Do I need to go do something to not be stressed? Yes. 3) What is my thing? um…clueless, no thought what so ever. What is a thing? A hobby? yes, has to be. I used to have tons of hobbies when I was younger girl scouts, dance, cheer leading, yoga etc. What about now? As i sifted through a basket of tomatoes to find the most ripe one, I thought well what do i do when I’m stressed or just feel like expressing myself? Sometimes I take a jog but most of the time I blog, Also known as writing. So I write for my hobby. I blog what I’m feeling, information i want to get across or feelings I have strongly about a certain issue. ( As you can see from previous posts) Once I start, I cannot stop It’s one of my favorite things to do. I immediately feel better when I write or blog, I end every day with something written in my journal. - I highly recommend keeping a journal!
I have a true passion and love for this but how could you not? Writing is extremely personal yet you feel as if you told your best friend why you’re upset or what you’re trying to get across. It always clears my head and straightens out my thoughts instantly. I love writing about fashion but I really write about all different kinds of things. Fashion is an easy excuse for me to make a blog entry, anything that sparks my interest motivates me to record it down on paper or through the Internet. I arrived back at my apartment after reading this sign and started writing this blog, what is your thing? It can truly be anything you love doing! Hard times, stress and anything else that brings anxiety should be taken out in any way or form of what YOU love doing. Having a passion for something is truly a beautiful quality.
